I'm pretty sure I mentioned last year that Rich reeeeally didn't want to move out of our old place at the end of his 12-month lease. And who can blame him? He's moved 6 times in the last 7 years (I've moved 5 in the last 7), but technically, we moved after 1 year and 3 months, so I guess it doesn't count ( Read more... )

Very excited to read about your new apartment and I hope you both enjoy living there. I think your honest about wishing you had the chance to live alone is something I can appreciate and there are pros and cons to both.

Another friend on LJ said FB and tumblr were a cesspool. Pretty harsh, but LJ is the one place people seem to share real feelings and thought and I love it.

My home teams are pretty sucky right now, so no comment on that.

Thanks so much! We've actually got the place about 95% set up now and I totally love it!

I don't think my experience with FB is anything like a "cesspool" but obviously it depends on the people you're following or who comment on your posts. FB is my go-to nowadays. But you're right: I definitely don't share a lot of "real feelings" on FB. Except for social justice stuff, mostly because I'll post a link or share someone else's link -- so my real feelings on social justice and politics are definitely out there for all to see, but not my personal feelings on my personal life.

I never used tumblr to communicate with people, only to reblog pretty pictures, and I'm barely on there now as it is. Still, I've heard some awful stuff coming out of tumblr... ah well.
