I would like to get my hair cut. It's been falling out by the handful and it'd be nice if someone could do something with it that would work with very thin hair. It's vain of me but losing my hair has been sorta tough to deal with.

I don't know if it's true but I heard that your hair doesn't fall out as fast when you are pregnant because of the hormones. Then a while after giving birth all that hair you would have normally lost over the course of the nine months or so starts to leave. I'm sure it's disturbing, but at the end you should end up with about the same amount of hair you had to begin with.

That said, I really hate having loose hair on me unless it belongs to my sister so I would be annoyed. Save it for the birds maybe. That would be sort of sweet, if they built a nest out of the hair you had while growing Leo.

It is true, all of the extra estrogen keeps your hair from falling out, but 3-6 months after having the baby one's hormone levels start tanking, causing a massive shed. Supposedly things will stabilize by Leo's first birthday, but that's a lot of *very* thin hair in the meantime. I like your bird idea, it's better than clogging the sink with it!

My lady does hair and it's 10 bucks cuz she's a student but she's a really good student, like top of her class--she'll do a good job. Aveda downtown in the fabulous Pearl. we could make this happen!

There are millions of experienced hairdressers who know how to handle post-baby hair thinning (and hair thinning for other reasons)! I would totally just go for it--something as short as you can handle would probably be a good start, get the weight off as much as possible. I'm sure it will look great :)

Good luck!
