Keeping busy

I love making fake Japanese food!

If you can get a hold of them, Harumi's cookbooks are really good. There's a sesame green bean recipe which is to die for.

Nigiri is so awesome. I have to start making it for work (great sandwich substitute). I also love putting tunafish in it :)

Ooh I will have go get some of her books at the library. The one I have is fantastic for beginners, it has an extensive introduction that discusses the cultural background of Japanese cuisine & has pictures of most of the major ingredients, very useful at the store if you aren't familiar with what this stuff looks like. And the glossary is very handy as well. Unfortunately it seems to be out of print & copies are a little spendy, and the library will probably want theirs back soon.

Sesame green beans sound so good, & hopefully this summer we will have a lot of beans from our garden!
