So.. Mitch and I bought the house pending the inspection. Unfortunately the inspection didn't go so well. We knew it needed work and that we were capable of just about anything except foundation issues. Well guess what.. that house's foundation is effed. It's a block basement up until six inches below ground; that's when it turns to wood.

Hey! that sounds like my house in Vermilion. Thank goodness I only rent! Oh.. except that my basement doesn't have windows or even a staircase.. and the rats and mice love the dirt floor and leaking water. Yum!
