Deep browns look lovely on many people, without being as severe as black. I have come to love dark brown lately - looks striking, but often more flattering.

It's hard to say without actually trying on each color... even just seeing something on the internet can be misleading as far as color.. but I say go for the brown.

Also, I've previously admired this very dress.
