I love this story a little more with every chapter!

I don't think I can thank you enough for this. :3

You updated! I cannot even tell you--I am always, -always- glad whenever I see you update. There's something about this story-I can't put my finger on it-that draws me in. Maybe my need for subtle drama? I dunno. But anyway, this:

"The last few days have been good, like Arthur remembers before they stopped talking."

That one simple sentence totally made me see flashes of them giving the cold-shoulder to each other, handling the situation using passive-aggressive behavior. It's utterly heartbreaking!

and this:

They share a small, private look that says and hides so much, and return their attention to Moonshine. He’s much more pleasant to focus on anyway.

I'm so sorry but for some reason, I can't help but feel disheartened by this sentence. Are their problems really that big? So it's not just a matter of getting tired of one another is it? or a lack of communication? If not, then what is it? Gah! Can't wait for more!

On a side not, I think that the playful banter between owner and pet you've described in here was really endearing/amusing. I was laughing at the mental image of Moony and Arthur wrestling for the sock.

Aww! They're so adorable!

And utterly, utterly heartbreaking. I have to say, I'm loving the light mood of this story with the subtle hints at angst in the background; it makes me legitimately scared for their future and that never happens with me! It's so refreshing and I love this and I'm sending it to my friends right now (who probably won't comment, seeing that they don't have LJs, but I bet they'll like it all the same).

And Moonshine is just too cute.

Update soon!
