Kaidoh takes a deep breath as Momo leads him into his house. If only his TV hadn't broken right when the new season of Bleach was starting...if only any of the other regulars besides Momoshiro watched it...if only he didn't like the show so much...he wouldn't have to deal with this idiot.

They sit down at opposite ends of the couch, a bowl of popcorn between them. Kaidoh hates popcorn. It always gets stuck in his teeth and it's full of grease.

"Oi, mamushi," Momo says around a mouthful of popcorn, "who's your favorite character?"

Kaidoh grimaces and throws a piece of popcorn at Momo's face. "Don't talk with your mouth full."

Momo rolls his eyes, grudgingly chewing the popcorn before he speaks again. "I like Ichigo."

"Fsh, Ichigo sucks. He's always running into things without a plan. Ishida is definitely better."

"Ishida is totally lame," Momo says, some popcorn bits spraying out of his mouth. "I mean, he sews. So lame."

"Shut up, idiot, it's starting."

They watch the show in relative silence, interrupted periodically by Momo's sisters running in and out, and his mother bringing more popcorn. Kaidoh decides that maybe this isn't going to be as bad as he thought, until Momoshiro turns to say something during a commercial and accidentally spits popcorn on Kaidoh's face. He leaps over and has Momo pinned to the sofa in a second, the bowl of popcorn knocked onto the floor.

"Don't. Talk. With your mouth. Full." Kaidoh growls, face mere inches from Momo's. Momo sticks his tongue out and makes a face, shoving Kaidoh off him.

"Shut up, idiot, it's starting again."

**

Kaidoh comes back the next day, and the day after that. After the third day, Momo gets a black eye and finally decides to stop talking with his mouth full. At least around Kaidoh.

**

After a week, Kaidoh's TV is fixed, but he goes over to Momo's anyway. It's almost habit now.

Momo sets the bowl of popcorn between them on the couch, as usual, even though Kaidoh never eats any. As the opening theme plays, though, Kaidoh finds his hand wandering to the bowl. His fingertips brush against Momo's over the popcorn, and he jumps, pulls his hand away, tries not to think about why the touch felt like a tiny jolt of electricity coming through his fingers.

He doesn't move through the rest of the show, but he sneaks a few nervous glances at the popcorn. Definitely at the popcorn.

**

Kaidoh walks home thinking about why he was there, why he didn't just watch television in the comfort of his own room, alone. He tells himself it's just become a routine to go to Momo's, and that's why he's still doing it. He doesn't think about the fact that he's started to feel like maybe the idiot isn't so bad, is sometimes sort of fun to be around, when Kaidoh feels like arguing. He definitely doesn't think about the twisting twinge he gets in his stomach when he smells popcorn.

**

The next day, when Kaidoh comes over, Momo's house is empty and strangely quiet. Kaidoh toes off his shoes and sits down on the couch (closer to the middle than usual, but he doesn't notice until it's too late to move) and waits for Momo to finish the popcorn. There's not enough room to put the bowl in between them, so Momo just holds it in his lap, which makes Kaidoh's heart beat faster as he thinks of reaching over to get some popcorn, how close he'll be to-he stops his train of thought abruptly, shaking his head to clear it. He's here for television. That's what's important.

He reaches over eventually anyway, grabbing a small handful of popcorn and stuffing it into his mouth. It's too salty, too greasy, he shouldn't like it, not really, but somehow there's a pleasure in it, and he chews, swallows, grabs another handful.

"I thought you didn't like popcorn, mamushi," Momo says, mocking.

"Shut up." I thought I didn't like you, Kaidoh thinks, and then he's grabbing Momo's collar, blood pounding hot through his body, and he's not even angry, not at Momo at least, but Momo responds automatically, grabs at Kaidoh's shirt and pushes him down on the couch, and neither of them knows what they're fighting about so they just glare at each other, breathing hot and fast in each other's faces. One of Momo's legs is wedged between Kaidoh's, and when he squirms a little they press against each other just so and suddenly they're both very thankful that the house is empty as Momo grinds down against Kaidoh, biting his lip and dipping his head down so they don't have to look at each other. They stay like that until they come, sticky and wet between their bodies, and Momo rolls off of Kaidoh and mumbles something about going to clean up. By the time Momo comes back Kaidoh's gone.

**

Kaidoh doesn't come back the next day. He stays in his room alone instead, lying back on his weight bench and lifting until his arms feel like they'll never move again. Then he just lies there for a while, staring at the ceiling and trying to banish his craving for popcorn. He thinks about how Momoshiro's mouth probably tastes like popcorn, buttery and salty and fattening, and he slides his hand across the front of his shorts, cock twitching at the light touch. It's too much to bear after a moment and Kaidoh slips his hand under his waistband, stroking slowly and wishing he wasn't thinking about kissing Momo on the sofa, salty and hot and maybe a little bit angry. He comes quickly, then gets up and takes a scalding hot shower, hoping that will make him feel less dirty, less wrong.

Then he thinks about how Momo had felt against him: responsive, breathing heavy, wanting it just as much, and maybe, perhaps, it's not wrong.

**

He shows up at Momo's the next day, hopes the house will be empty again. It's not, but Momo chooses this visit to say that he does have a TV in his bedroom, and his sisters were wanting to watch something on the one downstairs, so would Kaidoh mind going upstairs?

Momo doesn't have a couch in his bedroom, just a bed, and they sit stiffly against the wall for the first half of Bleach, until their hands brush over the popcorn bowl and suddenly their mouths are pressed together messily, and Kaidoh swipes his tongue against Momo's lower lip and tastes salt and butter, just like he expected, but he's not grossed out like he thought he would be. Instead he finds himself grappling to get closer to Momo, shoving the bowl out of the way and straddling his lap. Momo reaches up and knocks Kaidoh's bandana off to get a hand in his hair, tugging his head back and kissing down his neck. Kaidoh hisses, squirms, and Momo grins and pulls off Kaidoh's shirt, then his own. Now there's so much skin on skin, and Kaidoh feels like every nerve in his body is at least 3 times more sensitive than normal; every brush of fingers sends an electric pulse straight to his cock.

Momo sucks on Kaidoh's collarbone as he fumbles with the fly on Kaidoh's pants, eventually getting it open and pulling them down so he can wrap a hand around his cock, stroking up and down and listening to the hisses and whimpers he's eliciting. He grins again, leaning down to swipe the tip of his tongue over the head of Kaidoh's cock, causing him to jerk up and moan, back arching.

"Agh-don't...don't do that...I'm really close..." Kaidoh manages to say, taking a shaky breath. He pushes back a little so he can reach Momo's fly, unbuttoning it quickly to pull his pants down. Kaidoh leans back onto the bed, pulling Momo down on top of him so their erections rub together, and it feels like they're both on fire, kissing messily as they grind against each other. Kaidoh bites down on Momo's lip when he comes, and Momo follows soon after, whispering "mamushi," and Kaidoh tries hard not to laugh.

They go limp, panting and wrapped a little bit around each other, and Momo is the first to speak.

"That was...a lot better than watching TV."
