Yes, they're stargazing! I was inspired by the memory of a very clear night recently, when the night sky was absolutely cloudless and there was stars everywhere. I was completely dazzled.

I like how simply this is written, and I liked Gakuto saying “Let’s not lose to them.”
which is so...Gakuto-ish and so strong and cool :p And it's funny how that's what he got out of the story XD

That was so wonderfully sappy in it's own way. Plus, I love the Den-O reference; extra points since it was Deneb and not one of the forms of Den-O.

XD Heh, I am very fond of Deneb! Den-O is one of my favourite Kamen Rider series, so it seemed appropriate to put it in, especially as I'd decided on Deneb the star.

Deneb is pretty awesome, I would take his candy if given the chance. Den-O is amazing; between the dramatic bits, the endless humor, and the pretty boys what's not to love (plus Nakamura Yuichi has a very nice ass). It was very fitting to use Deneb considering it made sense in context and was a nice little pop-culture reference.
