Digital Cameras any suggestions or feedback?

I have wanted to purchase a digital camera for a while now... Today might just be the day I wander out and puchase a small one that can go everywhere with me. It's not that I can really afford a top of the line model but I want a good quality product as well. I have been looking at the Nikon Coolpix that I can get for around $100.00 to $140.00

I haven't used the Nikon, but we own an Olympus, about 3 years old by now, and it has served us very well indeed. We have had no problems with it whatsoever.

I never made it out to purchase one on Sunday. The family I nanny for gave me my first Hanukah gift ever on Monday which was the Nikon coolpix L-5 I was so surprised and they had no idea that I really, really wanted one! I'm so excited!

It sure is!

Usually I have a really hard time accepting gifts and especially something that I know is expensive. I hope that tomorrow the storm will subside and I can take some pictures of Alki or Downtown.

How is the storm on the Hill right now? Do you have power back up?

It's blowing pretty hard in Burien/Des Moines. I love the sound of the rain right now. I saw the prettiest lightning around 6:00 am yesterday morning.
