I assume you've done this, but have to ask anyway: Have you selected a bunch of these filtered (Y!Mail does not block, only filters) messages and clicked the "Not Spam" button? There is a known issue whereby innocent IPs can get lumped with bad guys. Just a few instances of "Not Spam" can fix this.

Alternately you can always use an austin.rr account and any browser that can handle pop and smtp. I helped set up Kate this way, though I've no idea whether she still uses it.
