I took Zane to the
Maker Faire yesterday. It's like a State Fair with electronics instead of animals. I've never been a damn bit of good with anything involving physical wiring, but I'm getting pretty interested. It might be something I can learn with Zane in a couple years.
I think my favorite part was riding around with Zane on one of
the bike zoo contraptions. It was a segmented bunch of tricycles with a carraige on the back that was made up to look like a peacock. I was riding one of the tricycles with Zane on my lap, and we did a couple laps of the fair.
In the auditorium, there was a life-sized R2-D2 rolling around and beeping at people. It's really odd to think that when Zane sees Star Wars for the first time, so much of it's going to be familiar. "Hey, I met that robot once. It rolled up to me and whistled at me. Wow, the big guy in the cape has the same sword I do."
Here's thanks to my co-workers, who all but threatened to call Child Protective Services if I didn't take Zane.
