On the differences between Canadians and Americans

In preparation for #obamawa as the twitter-folk put it (Obama's visit to Canada today), they welded some of the manholes shut downtown, and removed some mailboxes.

elira and I had immediate images of people hanging out in manholes and mailboxes, then popping up to take pictures of or wave at Obama.

warthog9 thought only of bombs.

As soon as you mentioned mailboxes, I realized that at least on Canada Day, there are people in mailboxes. :) And you have the picture to prove it!
