Happy New Year! I am pleased to announce that I completed Resolutions yesterday, as planned! So last year's new year's resolution worked out lovely. That said, this year I've got a couple more in mind:

My mom lost 54 pounds in I think... about a year with Weight Watchers. It might have been just more than a year. My cousin Kristy lost about 70, and my Uncle lost 65. The eating right is great and all but they said that the best part of weight watchers was going to the meetings and having something to help keep you on track.

So make sure you set goals for yourself. =) Like, steps along the way.

I can't imagine going to meetings like that. Although I see why it's encouraging for some people, I'm not very social to start with. A couple years ago, though, I did pretty well just getting my weight to even out using a website called TheDailyPlate to track food and exercise, but then it went to having free vs. sponsored accounts and I started to find it obnoxious because a lot of the things I had liked became things you needed to pay for. There were message boards and groups to join on that, which had some of the supportive structure without the "getting out of my pajama's" hassle. :-P However, I haven't found anything I've liked nearly as much since, and I'm not willing to pay because...well, I'd just rather buy something else, mostly.

There is nothing wrong with having a love of cookbooks!! :-) I also share the dorky love of cookbooks with you, and so does my best friend. We were just talking about this the other day. I love to cook, but I love to look through cookbooks when I get bored! :-)

Also, if you have the urge to travel to Virginia Beach this year, I've got room for you!
