It really has worked brilliantly for me. Just make sure to 1. set goals that you can reasonably keep and 2. not get discouraged and give up if you miss those goals (that's what kept the plan from working the first time I tried it).
I actually think my biggest hurdle will be overcoming the sense that I need to address two semi-contradictory problems and letting myself bog down in deciding between them that I never really end up addressing either.
