In my last post, when I mentioned that Spore would run under linux (details of which can be found here, btw - basically, if you compile the git version of wine and turn the lighting down to the lowest level, it should all work), footnotetoplato asked whether it was worthwhile. Which is an interesting question, and one that I felt might merit a post
