Then I got an email this afternoon from the JET program saying I've been upgraded so I can go to Japan. It would be a fantastic experience and would be pretty fun. But I have

I would say go to Japan. You may not have this opportunity again, but a year from now you could always go back to your family and take some classes.

Beg, save, and borrow. Do irreplaceable things when the opportunity knocks.
