-BASICS-
Likes: My rabbbit, anime/manga, video games that are easy enough for someone like me to figure out (e.g. Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Phoenix Wright), knitting, sitting in front of my computer all day.
Dislikes: Paying a shit load of tuition for classes where the instructor is a total airhead, people who like stuff just because they want to appear popular, fanfics with sex scenes that read like they were written by a 13-year-old boy, clothes shopping.
Strengths: Um...I have a huge level of patience for young children, which is pretty good since I'm going to school to become a preschool teacher xD;. Also...I pride myself on my ability to speak English well (yes, I'm a US citizen from birth, but it can be surprisingly painful to listen to other people speak English, even when it's their first langauge x_x). Also, I can BS essays pretty well (it's how I got through AP English x_x).
Weaknesses: I'm really awkward when it comes to conversation and I never seem to know what to say to people. Also, I'm notoriously lazy. In fact, I should be cleaning my apartment and doing homework right now, but...yeah.
Hobbies: Knitting, playing video games, reading manga/watching anime.
Talents: I don't know... According to my boyfriend, I'm pretty good when it comes to cooking, so we'll go with that.

Favorite character, and why: Hmm. I guess I'd go with Ogiue. Her facial expressions were the best, for one thing :P. Also I just liked her character. She was funny, in a more subtle manner :P
Least favorite character, and why: Shit, uh...that really sketchy guy from the manga club? I don't remember his name. But he was sketchy.
Favorite pairing, and why: Ahaha. Uh. I always secretly wanted something to happen with Saki and Ohno because I'm a fan of yuri and all that. But nothing ever happened, of course. :(
Least favorite pairing, and why: Um...well, I guess it would have to be something totally off-the-wall and stupid, like...I dunno. *shrug*
Favorite Genshiken quote?: Hmm...Oh! I think it was the first or second episode of the OVA...Ogiue had just met the Genshiken, and her reaction to them was something like, "You guys seem like a bunch of queers :|" It was just hilarious the way she said it xD

Hentai, yaoi or yuri?: Yuri and regular hentai, usually. I'm not really into yaoi (and yet I'm female. Yeah, wtf, I know). There are maybe one or two yaoi pairings I like, but...yeah.

How'd you find this community?: I was actually searching for some Genshiken LJ icons, and I happened to see this community in the search results. I thought it sounded like fun :3
How long have you liked Genshiken?: Um...probably for about a year?
What did you witness first? The anime or the manga?: The anime. My boyfriend brought it with him on one of his weekend visits when I used to live in the dorms at UMass, and we watched nearly the whole series that weekend. :P
