Florida Beer Company

this monday i got to tour the FBC and it was a blast! sheila and i had tons of fun, and chris was very helpful and informative. of course, we tasted beer, and i got to meet one of the brewmasters. i took pics and filmed video, so for now i am going to post the pics. the video will take a bit to upload so that'll have to wait for another post ^_^

the front of the brewery right off of US1

the rear/side where they also have 4 large fermenters

some of the brite tanks

one of the fermenters

the tasting room upstairs. it really is half of a boat; a very cool bar, imo

a fermenter hard at work. the escaping gases from the fermentation makes the water bubble

part of the bottling line

sheila and chris

further straining the almost finished brew to catch any leftover grain

the underbelly of the malter and brew-kettles

BEER!!! well, not quite yet technically, but it's getting there

you can see some of the grain and such at the bottom. the overall smell of the brewery was delicious - warm freshly baked bread with a hint of moisture. someone needs to bottle that into an incense for me.

freakin shweet!

the control panel for the kettles

jose, the brewmaster, giving us a taste of the pale ale

a bit flat due to the stage it is in, but still cool, refreshing, and pretty good actually

after the tour, chris and sheila and i went to meg o-malleys for lunch, then sheila and i bopped around downtown melbourne and then headed to coasters for a bew or two. and then, later at night, twas time to head home after a lon and beer filled day ^_^

switchblade pictures and ADV seem to finally be getting busy. aka, starting to put out product. i am all for more live-action k00lness mixed in with my anime so i look forward to seeing what titles of interest they bring me.

"hamrful publications" ... um, say it with me now, folks:
Book Burning!!!!!! wow. i thought this type of prejudice/suppression was finally gone from the large majority of cultures and society. well, japan at least. very surprising and very disturbing. a dangerous trend and downward spiral of corruption and suppression and usually history will agree with me on that one.
