OK, so. I have literally been wrangling with this plot bunny for half a year now, and although it is, in my head, the most epic fic that has ever been thought of and will receive all kinds of accolades, as well as dethroning IO as the AU queen, so far this is the only part that has actually been written. I'm amused that you think that HIMYM fandom is a monarchy. Actually, maybe it is. If you liken it more to the French Revolution monarchy with all the head choppings off. ;-)

Sigh. NPH as CJ didn't even exist when I first wrote this. Yeah, I know. :P

But, yeah, the "Male Character X is a girl" thing had absolutely no appeal to me until I read a bunch of Kirk/McCoy fics where one (or both) were a girl, and then I was like, "a female version of Barney would have SO MANY ISSUES", and then the idea spent the next six months slowly torturing me.

That was the general idea. Although considering that my plot bunny is at least four chapters long and is a full AU for the series, I highly doubt I will ever actually get around to writing it.

I wish I could give it away to someone, but this is my baby. :(

Yes, that is an unfortunate side effect. Although she looks a bit more Gwyneth Paltrow-ish to me, for some reason.

Ha, fun fact - Shannon and Greg DID happen, but in a different way. But mostly the same. Like girl!Barney! (I am not a creative commenter.)

Anyway, thanks! Hopefully I'll get around to writing the whole fic someday.
