Hehe. I love this! I thought it introduced a lot of stuff from your universe very well, like the idea of the League and vigilantism, and I LOVE the way you described Velocity Lad (mostly his costume, though also his hero worship of a guy with a lame-sounding name like Inertia Man). Also love Patrick's apathy, which comes across as just lazy enough, and not particularly mean or uncaring, so he comes across as pretty sympathetic, actually. And I giggled a couple times too. This is short, but awesome.

You realize it's been about a year since you first had this idea? Crazy!

But, yeah, Patrick's difficult, because he is super-apathetic, but I don't want him to be unlikeable, either, so I'm glad that it came across well. (Man, I hate to think how hard this would be to sustain over, say, a few seasons. Oh, well. If it ever got picked up, it'd probably just get canceled after a season, anyway.)
