Yay for more girl!Barney! I really like her interactions with Robin and Lily in this chapter, how mean she is to both of them and yet Lily still opens up to her and Robin clings to her when she's got nowhere else to go. And how she goes through a heterosexual streak yet still thinks Ted is a sex god in Target sweatpants. ;)

Awesome chapter, well worth the wait. I hope you continue with season 2! :D

And actually I'm jumping to season three for the next chapter (I think you can guess what part), but I might cover season two in a oneshot later on. :D

Wow.

I'm speechless right now. really. I need to read it again to give you specific and articulate comments.

But the thing about Greg? That totally came out of left field for me and it was SO amazingly written.

This story will stay with me for a LONG time. It's one of those mind-blowing, game-changing stories. Awesomely well done.

I was a bit wary of the Greg thing, simply because of the implications involved in having lesbian!Barney's huge trauma be based on dub-con with a guy, but I'm glad it worked for you!

But, seriously, I'm SO glad you liked it.

I get your reticence, but personally I love to walk the dark side and I definitely saw it as non-con that she's repressed or altered in her own mind. It was horrible, but definitely completely believable.

I just... LOVE... this story. You've elevated it now beyond just "good" to "amazing/mindblowing".

Can I put it in my rec list?

So many awesome things about this :P

Like Barney telling Lily that she and Ted slept together. And Greg, cause that guy's just a heartless bastard :( And Barney's irrational hatred of Robin. Which is probably my favorite part! And how good of a friend Ted is. I want a Ted-friend. And Battleship :P

Most of all, I don't know who I want to ship more! girl!Barney/Robin or girl!Barney/Ted. But then again Barney and Robin have an awesome friendship going and oh noes if that goes away :( Girl!Barney/Lily is cute too, but they've just got such a chilling love/hate relationship going I don't want that to stop :P

I wanna read mooooore! :D

Ah, the internal ship war between girl!Barney/Ted and girl!Barney/Robin. :P Well, hopefully that'll work out satisfactorily.

And, yeah, I sort of just have this compulsion to shoehorn Barney/Lily in absolutely everything I write. :P

You really nailed this in a completely awesome way.

I love how Barney feels about Ted. I love how Lily experimented with lesbianism by kissing Barney. I love how Robin because attached to Barney. And even if Greg was a total asshat, I even loved that part too because it was messed up and real and made the moment she had with her god in Target Sweatpants (aka Ted) all that more awesome.

I'm really enjoying this series, I love the little differences from canon that work for girl!Barney. I really like Robin and Barney's and Barney and Ted's relationships and how it doesn't feel at all like you just did a gender/orientation switch without considering the differences they might bring about. The Greg thing was pretty awful and I think you did a good job with keeping it real. I'm looking forward to the rest eagerly even though I guess some more heartbreak's coming on...

Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I definitely did set out to explore the ramifications of a female Barney, and not have it be just a fetishistic thing (not that there's anything wrong with that), so I'm happy that worked. And, yeah, definitely more heartbreak to come.
