i have these issues with sheldon cooper (don't ask, mostly i am a crazy grudge holding person), but you did the impossible and made me want to hug him. and feed him cookies. and smack him, a little, but in a good way!

and i loved your penny, and i feel a little heartbroken now, but in the best way possible.

Oh, I have my share of issues with Sheldon, too, although it's more with the writers than the actual character, so.

I'm glad I made you like him! And he could do with a good smack. :P

Anyway, glad you liked it! In the good-pain sort of way! (Gosh, I should probably work on my Gwen/Morgana. Oops.)

Well, this was wonderful. I agree with others comments regarding a lack of angst in general with Sheldon and Penny. I think there's a fine line between writing something that literally makes the reader hate the characters afterward (this has happened to me!) and something like this that is fair to all characters involved. Great read, thanks!

Ha, thanks! Glad to know that I broke them up in a satisfying way. And thanks about Sheldon - he's a tricky character to pin down, and I think it'll be a while before I'm really comfortable with his voice. Thanks for the lovely comment!

I don't hate you at all. As much as I love the S/P goodness, it's refreshing to see something different. I like this look at how the S/P relationship starts and ends. I don't think every story has to have a happy ending, and some are better because of their unhappy ones. This is definitely one of those cases. I'm pretty f'ing heartbroken for these two... loving each other but realizing it's not enough.

But, yeah, I thought a happy ending would really undermine all of the points that Sheldon brought up, you know? And sometimes things just don't work out. I've read plenty of fics where Sheldon/Penny is believable in the long term, and I wanted to bring something slightly different to the table. Anyway, thanks for the comment!
