Today’s Thursday.
School’s letting out early today - Easter break. No school tomorrow, either. And next week off.
There’s a part of Lily that wishes that she’d had this week off instead. There’s a larger part of her that’s glad she didn’t.
She’s about to leave when she remembers the staff party - the one she’d helped organize, two weeks ago, a

This was SO good. I seriously wanted to cry the entire time I was reading it, I just felt for Lily so much. You've done a great job keeping her in character (when she was deciding between the two shirts at the clearance rack, the school staff party, etc.) and showing how hard this is for her, unable to do anything.
I just want to give Lily a huge hug!
I had so many parts I wanted to quote that I just lost track, so I'll settle for this: Victoria passed the front porch test, when she was going out with Ted. With flying colors.

Yeah, Lily's having a rough time with it all. She has to go through her daily routine, which is always the hardest thing in these kinds of situations.
Well, when Robin gets back, she can definitely give Lily a hug. God knows they both need it.

This was so, so good and very in-character for Lily. I just feel so terrible for her, stuck at home all by herself while everything else is going on, trying her best to somehow reassure everyone. You really showed her helplessness here. And her imaginings of what that day was supposed to be like if Barney and Robin had actually come home just broke my heart. (And it was interesting how she was wishing Barney had never told her he was in love with Robin...)
And I loved the part with her and Victoria, how she passed the front porch test. Whoever's playing Victoria in the RP's been doing such a good job! She's been especially good at calming Marshall down, I think.
(And was she watching HIMYM while channel surfing? Hee!)

Yeah, she's really feeling powerless, which you can't really express over the chat (or at least she can't -- she'd feel too selfish). I don't think she really wishes that Barney hadn't let her in, but it's certainly hurting her knowing how much he's hurting (and she felt really bad during her chat with Ted, where he was ranting about how closed-off Barney is, when Barney's shared this huge thing with her).
Victoria's great. :) I have heard about this epic Victoria-calming-Marshall-down thing, but there doesn't appear to be a transcript. :(
(Kind of. She's not really paying much attention, otherwise she'd be like, "What the hell, that's US!". I'm thinking of it more as a HIMYM proxy, though.)
Also, you really get to use that Ned icon a lot nowadays, don't you?

(Man, I post a freaking LOT of transcripts, don't I?)
I just thought it was funny how you keep saying that this RP is like the HIMYM soap opera (which, btw, it kind of is) and then Lily watches the sitcom and thinks that that was how it was supposed to be. Nice meta-comment. =D
And yeah, I guess I do use the Ned icon a lot lately, don't I? Everything in this RP is just so SHOCKING. Hahaha. I've been using this Homestar one quite a bit though, too. I've found it an appropriate fangirly icon. =D

(It's cool. I like reading transcripts.)
Yay for meta-comments. They are my favorites. Although, if you look at HIMYM from the characters' perspectives, they've gone through a lot of dramatic shit. This is just. You know. Really REALLY dramatic.
No, use the Ned icon! It amuses me muchly. As does the Homestar one.

God this whole RP thing takes a completely surreal turn with Heather going missing and Barney going off the deep end.
Lily would so order a cake for Marshall, lilipad being a nice touch :) Sigh! *hugs RP!Lily*

Yeah, I figured that, since she can't actually go to GNB, she'd at least send him something nice. And RP!Lily definitely needs the hugs.
