Part of the aftermath

Last night, Rea and I enjoyed dinner and drinks to the accompaniment of a jazz trio that included a bass, drum, and xylophone player at Garage down on 7th and Christopher. Yeah, it's expensive here so I had to search for a second job in addition to my summer internship. I lost weight from the depression of my ended relationship, which is good because I gotta appeal to the hot papis who live in my neighborhood. I'm still settling into things. I'm not totally on my feet yet with bills up to my neck it feels. But I'm in good health and have made progress in terms of getting over my ex.

This is the life I want. I love New York and no man could ever make me leave.

Thanks. Yeah, rough, but I'm getting over the jerk. It helps to remember all the times he'd denied certain actions that I proved he did. It helps to remember speaking to the guy he was seeing over the phone and having him confirm their relationship. It also helps a great to remember finding my missing checkbook in one of his bags.
