I was fine with the Toy Story sequel since they had done one before, but then they had Cars 2 and now they're having Monsters University... While I know they still keep high standards for all their work, I'm just scared they're might end up accidentally going down the Dreamworks route (though I do have an interest in Rise of the Guardians due to rufftoon's involvement.)
I'm looking forward to Brave as well, even if I keep forgetting its new name and refer to it as The Bear and the Bow in my head.
I'm giving Korra a pass since its pretty much a complete re-imagining of the series. New characters, new time period, new technology, etc.
Take Monsters University which is a prequel to Monsters Inc. Right now it's the same characters but in college who start out as rivals but become friends. If Pixar was to do a prequel Korra-style, it'd be set in the 1500's or something and deal with the epic story behind the creation of the monster society as they know it with a completely new cast of characters... or something.
I have no doubt they'll do a good job. It's just a bit depressing to read all the predictions for top movie grossers in the coming years, see all the prequels/sequels, and then see that Pixar is right up there with them.
Living in Orlando right next to the mouse doesn't help my cynicism much either.
