thanksgiving

while dishing out leftovers the other night
i forgot to give you this
tiny piece of my heart.
i wrapped it in tin foil, with toothpicks
to keep the foil from sticking.
don't worry, this piece will freeze
especially well,
i know.
we will thaw it when you get back.
