Ianto brings him a fresh coffee--pausing just a moment to watch, because watching Jack is always interesting--and then joins him on the couch.

He picks up a form and reads it.

"Perhaps 'uninformed public' is a better choice than 'morons,' sir."

"But so much less informative," Jack says severely. "Records must be accurate."

Then he sticks his pen behind his ear and sighs.

"Honestly, Ianto. They poked it. Didn't even use a stick."

Like, you know, a trained professional would have done.

"Human curiosity will always get the better of prudence," Ianto says soothingly and hands him the coffee cup.

"And self preservation, apparently. You're amazing."

Judging by the way he closes his eyes and inhales the steam from his coffee, it's that to which he is referring.
