Miley was busy not studying. She was reading magazines, texting her friends, and trying on clothes. There had been a brief panic period earlier when she had run out of stalling tactics and almost had to study but she was saved by the apperance of a dust bunny.

Amazing. Steerpike had been busy not studying by reading magazines, lately, too. Coincidences are wonderful, aren't they.

Oh, and look, he's knocking on her door. I bet he wants to help her keep busy not studying. He's such a nice boy, that Steerpike. . . .

"Hi Steerpike!" Miley was more than happy to answer the door. It's not like it was taking time away from her studies at all.

Not even a hint of wicked intentions in that little speech. Steerpike is, if nothing else, quite adept at lying.

"Sure, don't mind the mess." Miley stepped back and waved a hand towards the pile of fashion magazines and shoes on her bed. "I was just studying...sorta."
