Back from London

Hey everybody.

You're all probably wondering what's held me up for so long, but I was off in London for two weeks.  I don't like to advertise where/when I'm going until after the fact.  ^__^  But I had an absolutely fantastic time!  And I understand London references and many other English things related so much better now, omg.  It's kind of ( Read more... )

I would like to apologise for the weather on behalf of the British nation. We're blaming the jet stream and we'll be sticking to that story...

Didn't you guys just have the wettest June in the recorded history of ever? I heard it on the radio that there was fear of flooding.

We've had the wettest April, May, June and July since they stopped using woolly mammoth tusks as measuring tools. Or something. June's rain began shortly after the local water suppliers declared a drought. Since the 'British spirit' is 90% contrariness and 10% tea (and we need water for tea damn it!) naturally a drought situation lead to torrential rain which wouldn't stop. I suspect secret gatherings of rain dancers are responsible. Floods everywhere now, the zoo animals and wildlife are campaigning for the UK Govt to fund the building of an ark but they can bugger off and buy an umbrella and wellies like the humans have to.
