i don't think its pathetic to help your Grandmother out. She would probably welcome the company, and its only temporary till you get back on your feet.

also set a goal when you are moving out, like when you save 5000.00 dollars, or till you pay off your car, or something with a determined length of time.

I'm not really OFF my feet...she had just said I could use the chance to stockpile some money since I won't have any bills to pay living with her.

It's not that bad, considering how it's you helping out a family member in need.

It can be pathetic, if you're doing it for the wrong reasons... You are going to help out your grandmother, and you are going to save some money... You aren't permanently moving back home. It's the best way to jump start your life there.

I just think you need to sit down and discuss the situation in detail, you have to make sure she treats you as a tenant, not a grandchild...

I agree with the other respondents. It's not pathetic when you have good reasons to do it, which you do.
