I'm just a little confused between this post and the sign-ups post:

We make our list as shown on the sign-ups post, with a few choices for each option, right? So once we recieve our assignments, we'll be writing one of the pairings that the other person requested, I assume?

IDK if this is just me missing the obvious or something, but this is what I got out of the sign-ups post. The "They'll be writing what THEY want; you'll be writing what YOU want" lines puzzled me a bit. Why would we be writing for ourselves in an exchange? @_@;;

DIRECT ME ON THE RIGHT PATH, OH GREAT ONES.

Essentially, it's about pimping your special OTP, so, you'll be writing your pair... :D

For another person!

You'll be pimping your special pair! For instance, if I got you! I'd be treating you to some Chinen/Akutsu or some Kite/Mizuki because I want you to see the light and love of those awesome pairs!

If You got Kat8cha, you'd be treated to some Kite/Itsuki! :D See? And we alternatively would get treated to your special pair. >D Even if it melted our brains.

I'm still pretty confused about this. I love the idea of a fest to pimp alternative pairings but I don't understand the exchange aspect, if I'm writing the pairing I want. How does normal fic exchange etiquette apply? And how do you figure out if the pairing you want to write is alternative enough?

We're exchanging our favorite OTP with someone else. It's like a potluck. We bring what we have to the table and share, who's to say the other person won't come away loving what we brought.

~alternative~ enough doesn't really matter, as long as you really love your pair, though we are looking for the odd ducks out there.

So you 'advertise' your claim and you have to do someone else's claim? Is it possible to choose the claims that you actually get?

I'm intrigued to be honest (and crack amuses me), but I simply can't bring myself to write BL >_> Even though it makes up the majority of the fandom.

I would prefer getting a het or GL claim even though they're most likely non-existent xD
