Just seen Hillsborough football ground on the news. Looks like they might have to take up water polo instead! Hope everyone is warm and dry still.

Has anyone heard from CJ? I texted her last night, but no reply. If there's no power that's not surprising I guess. Or she could be in the Hebrides again :)

Assuming she lives up in Walkley still (not spoken to her in years) she'll be fine bar intermittant power problems - flooding didn't get nearly that high.

I am ashamed to say I missed he off my check-list of people to ensure i had spoken to directly or knew where OK indirectly. I even went within 500 yards of her house on Monday...

Well, she hasn't really kept in touch much I guess. I speak to her occasionally & we write sometimes.

I included her in the big list of people I texted to invite over to ours the other night, when the power was out. I didn't get any reply from her, so I called her - you'll be glad to hear that Clare, Ste and Chloe are all getting along just fine, aside from the frequent power cuts we've all been seeing over the last couple of days :)

Hillsborough's pitch may still be flooded, but only because they forgot to install a drain and a plughole! Flood waters are generally receding for now, and didn't really hit Hillsborough area at all - even the park has been pretty dry all week. Most of the flooding has been elsewhere.
