hugh fearnley whittingstall does a recipe for puffballs where he just stuffs them and bakes them whole, or fills them with cream (or is that pumpkins he does that with?)

Giant puffballs are great!

I had one once, sliced and fried in garlic butter, with bacon. Best thing ever!
