i was wrong to state that dc cannot rain like boston. it can rain: buckets and pails and apocalypse frogs. the main difference seems to be that dc maintains summer-feeling temperatures while letting the sky seep its guts. boston relies upon the tundra effect. small change, you might think, but not to me.
