Long, Hot Day

Jun 07, 2005 18:39

I got up early this morning with the intention of getting SOMETHING done. Bear in mind, “early” on my day off was 8:30, which is long before I usually wake up on Tuesdays.

One quick look out the back window let me know I shouldn’t be running errands. Thank you, construction. So, I gathered up my supplies and got to work ( Read more... )

Ooh, the full detail! I've been too busy to do the whole clay bar routine to my Insight, but I want to sometime. It's just so time consuming! But the results look great!

Hee, that car is so YOU! :)
And yeah, man, that claybar took things off my car that I didn't even know were there -- and every annoying fleck of tar that I DID know about.
Took for freaking EVER.
It made the waxing really quick, though -- the stuff just eased on and eased off with NO rubbing. It was even a cleaner wax, too, and ... it wasn't dirty! :)

I was like this with Tomcat until about a year ago. Life's been so busy lately that I just don't have the time or the inclination. I still do all my own wrenching, though, which is GREAT fun.

Yeah, I know, man, it's SAD. But I looooooove that car and I actually don't mind working on it. :) It's looking sooooo good. :D

Ferrari, huh? Lemme know if the family needs another godchild. ;> Some of the new models are incredibly cool. Of course, they go like HELL.

And dude, you SO need to go drive one of these!! Go drive the 330i with the performance and sport packages. Seriously, you'll be on the waiting list in no time. :D I like the 2005 or older models ... the new one (body model E90) isn't quite as slick, IMHO. But it's growing on me. I'm dying to see the next couple of years. Supposedly, a 2-series is in the works, with the M2 sporting a 300-hp range engine. MMmmm.
And hey, next time you've got a spare 200k hanging around, get an after-market modded M6. Trust me on that one.

I actually just heard a report today that the hybrids don't actually save you any money because they're not THAT much better with gas, especially when you take into account how much more they cost to begin with. You basically have to have some kind of insane mileage per year or super-high gas prices to break even. Make sure you check that out before you go hybrid. :) Of course, the environmental advantages are significant. :)

Mm, yah, that XKR is -sweet-, especially the new one. :)

I don't need 7 cars. Just 3. :D Summer, winter, and 'my finest.'
