Of course, the longer I wait to write up a con report, the less new material I have to offer compared to the multiple excellent things already posted. However, there are a few surprises left. First, the usual things ( Read more... )

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to hang out more, too. Nothing that anyof the usual suspects were up to was scheduled all that well for getting together. Hopefully we'll catch up next year, yes! :)

Cheers to all that. Your talks are always extremely informative, and I always seem to have a problem coming up with questions, since you seem to cover all the bases so wel.

Even with that aside, we (the kitten and I) still had an excellent, pimpin', spankin', drinking, partying good time with you all. =)

Let it not be said that *I* was the one to break the "what happens in Philly stays in Philly" rule. ;D
That being said, I want the pictures from Saturday night. ;D

Amazingly I made up that same line. I suppose we had a mutual need for it :>

I'm glad you could make it! :)
That line is actually something that I've seen adapted all over the place. For vegas, the islands, etc. We used to say it when I went snowmobiling with my dad and uncle, too. "What happens above the bridge stays above the bridge." All in all, I think that a place like a con or a big gathering is a point for folks to have fun and be laid back...so naturally you do things that need to stay in context. ;)

It was great getting to see you again this year! Your panels were one of the definite highlights of the con, too: you're so intelligent and well-spoken, and you've got both a great presence and a gift for public speaking. I can only imagine how those traits serve you in your profession, and I figure I'd have zero reservations if I had you as my own veterinarian.

You're also cool when you're chillin' and drinkin', and that's a fine juxtaposition by me. :)

Thanks very much for the nice words. Those are exactly the sort of things I strive for. It's a relief, as well as a humbling thing, to hear that I'm getting there most of the time.

Thanks again for coming to the panels and the party! Can't wait to see you next year. :)
