1) Yeah, the grille with the bugs on it...which means somebody DRIVES that car, which is cool. :) 2) The presentation lady had this too-pretty Brit accent. She loved her Jag-you-ire, too. ;D 3) That coupe just ROCKS. The G35 was pretty sweet, too, and available now. 4) About the time you get 100k+ in the bank, sign up for one of those. I'll do unspeakable things for a chance to drive it. :D 5) I was impressed with Ferrari. I don't generally like them, but they've smoothed and sexified those cars to an extreme degree. They're just sexy as hell.
And yah, *sigh*... that K1200 was just hot. I liked the M3 behind it better, though. :>
fun shiny cars ^_^ I think my dad may wind up with one of the Solstices before too long... Aaand on the other end of the price bracket, my uncle apparently just put in his order for one of the Bentleys 9_9 Ridiculous. Why would someone drive something like that?
haha, I know I'm asking the wrong person here <3 anyway, glad to see you had fun ^_^
That red Solstice was pretty cool. The GXP is some kinda high-performance version. I didn' t catch the HP rating. Still not that expensive, though, like 30k. Comparatively, the BMW Z4 M is something like 65k.
Eh, sorta the wrong person. That Bentley is like driving your house around, which I suppose has appeal for some people. The saleslady was saying that in the 1st month of availability on that model, the Beverly Hills dealership sold TEN of them. In a month. Does your uncle need another godnephew or something? :D
I would readily spend that kind of cash on 2-3 of the other cars in that show, though. Or the Maserati. Yikes! :D
The GT makes me drool. Seriously. My keyboard nearly shorted out.... I only wish it was a little less corvette-ish. :) I thought the bugs were a nice touch too. Just wish i coulda been the one culling the insect population. Mrowr!
And the... Challenger, was it? Looks like someone took a DIY kit to a classic Pony. (Of course the Ponys are better!)
I'm in the market for a car to replace the jellybean... sadly, all of these are WAAAAY over my price range.
Oh, heck yah, they're outrageously priced. Except the Sky and the Solstice, etc. I tried to get pictures of cars I wouldn't get to see in showrooms or be allowed to touch in showrooms. That's the one really neat thing about BMW. They let you SIT IN the 100,000+ cars. :)
The new civic is pretty neat, if you're in the market. Mitsubishi had some interesting cars, too.
I did not like the new G6 all that much from Pontiac.
Right now I'm looking at the Toyota Matrix or Pontiac Vibe (they're practically the same car, slightly different exterior styling)- problem is I have a 6'4" monkey that doesn't fit well into most cars. Hell, he doesn't even fit into the passenger seat of his OWN car without jamming his knees into the glove box. Right now we're just pricing, keeping our eyes open, and planning to test drive after we have a better idea when we'll be able to sign and bring it home... :) Hopefully before the end of the year!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the auto show. My brother was actually working there again this year, what with all the projectors and large TV displays that tend to show up there. Kept him from dinner with the family, too...
