Pete Returns - Hero or Bust?

In my opinion, of which I'm entitled, BUST.  I've read all over the net about people 'missin' Pete' and wish he were back, but I thought Pete's attitude toward Clark was annoying back when he was a regular in Clark's smalltown life.

He wasn't an iota different, any more grown up mentally even though the rest of our characters have changed so much.
