I am very sorry for the lack of updates. Net access is problematic. I have been at my parent's house since getting out of the hospital (more later in post). Yesterday I met with the surgeon. She first offered the choice of a lumpectomy with radiation, but when I asked her the odds of recurrence with the lumpectomy v. the mastectomy, she said the mastectomy had a slightly better odds against recurrence. Saturday and Sunday we had the big move out with large moving truck. We have wonderful friends who have and are helping us. I would like to thank everybody who helped us this weekend. The results from the Biopsy came back Wednesday. The cells were positive for invasive ductual cancer. Today (Friday) my surgeon and oncologist are having a conference about me. I have an appointment on Tuesday (5/16) to find out my options and to schedule surgery. At this point they are leaning towards a double mastestomy and hysterectomy with ( Read more... )
