Marigolds, is it? Apparently in France people use the carnation at funerals, or so a former boyfriend from France told me. (He didn't like carnations because of that association.) I don't know of a flower here in the USA that's associated with the dead, although I think any white flower is commonly used at funeral events.
You are right, I have never known about an equivalent flower in that sense there, nor even in the native ancient cultures. Well, white flowers are used here too in that sense along the year. It is only for the Dia de Muertos that the Cempoaxuchitl is used extensively. Thanks for the comment, L. :o)
Thanks for the link dr., it is very amusing indeed, it looks these guys are creative and manage to have some fun while hey work too! Very thoughtful of you too! Hugs and much more your way, L. :o)
