Yesterday Erin's mom and dad came out and worked on the house for a few hours while we were both at work. They came back to our house, had a little Chipotle, then we headed over to Ikea to pick up our cabinets.

Sunday Erin and I slept in late and made our way out the house in the late morning. We were both pretty beat from the day before so we decided it would be a short day. Today was a big day at the house with lots of helpers. My family came over for the day to help us out! This meant that Tim could take the weekend off from helping us out, and I'm sure he's enjoyed having his feet up today. We gave everyone the tour of the house and then got down to work.

This entry is a few days late, but I've been pretty busy with work and packing up the house. I managed to sneak a little entry in here while I watch some Lost. After thinking about it all last night and even in my sleep, I arrived at the house today determined to get the wiring situation resolved. And unbelievably, I made it work! I fixed the 3-ways in the kitchen that weren't working, which led to the fixing of a bunch of other lights that weren't working either.

Today we woke up early to get ahead of the coming snowstorm. Erin was able to convince her dad to come out as well. He ended up arriving at the house a little earlier than us, and found that the house was cold. Erin was not pleased:

Tonight I sit here on the couch, feet up and relaxed, and I'm thinking about all we managed to accomplish this weekend. We attacked it weekend warrior style and got just about everything done I had hoped for and then some. The first thing we did this morning was to frame up the soffit around the pipes we moved in preparation for drywall.
