So I just submitted my video from Costa Rica to http://www.lonelyplanet.com/lessthanthree/. It is a competition for vacation videos. The winner wins a trip to Australia with 10 grand. And a camera crew follows you to make a show about it for the lonely planet tv station

I'll start by saying those are some kickass destinations and I heartily agree. That said, I find it interesting that there are no U.S. destinations in that list. Is it because despite the scenery America is still hopelessly full of Americans? Or is it simply that no U.S. destination is exotic enough for a list of top 5 fantasy getaways?

Seriously.... what in this US is cooler than the bone church? Or the Kremlin? Nothing I tell you. Mebbe the cheese place in Illinois. That is tough.
