[Drabble] Chen Means Orange
so I was staring at this photo of Jongdae and Yixing (again).. and I couldn’t help but write this little drabble

“Yixing Ge~” Jongdae plops down next to Yixing, who is sitting cross-legged against the wall of their practice room.
Yixing looks up from the book in his lap. “Hmm?”
“Isn’t that my Chinese workbook?” Once SM had announced that Jongdae and Minseok would be a part of EXO-M, they had given both of them a stack of Chinese workbooks.
Yixing rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. “Ah, sorry. I saw it lying around… and I just wanted to make sure that I haven’t forgotten my Chinese since I came here”
“Ah” Jongdae scoots closer to Yixing, leaning over his lap to get a closer look at the text. Yixing has the book open to a page in the middle, but Jongdae has only just started on the book, so he has a hard time making out the characters on the page. He purses his lips in concentration, thinking that maybe if he stares at the characters for a longer time, they will start to make sense.
Yixing chuckles at Jongdae’s expression. “You can’t read any of this can you?”
Jongdae pouts. “They just told me I had to learn Chinese a couple days ago…. so…”
Yixing ruffles Jongdae’s hair and slings an arm around Jongdae’s shoulder. “Then how about I teach you?”
Jongdae leans in closer and points to a random word on the page. “Okay, what does this say?”
“橙” Yixing says slowly
“Chen? What does that mean?” Jongdae looks up at Yixing with a puzzled expression.
Yixing smiles, but doesn’t answer.
“Ge?” Jongdae frowns a little.
Yixing tilts his head down a little more and places a small, chaste, kiss on Jongdae’s lips. “It means orange”
Jongdae flushes at Yixing’s sudden gesture. Embarrassed, he turns to look at the workbook again.
Yixing places another quick kiss on the top of Jongdae’s head. Knowing full well that Jongdae wouldn’t be able to understand, he whispers “你害羞的臉太可愛了”
