One reason that I'm such a terrible poet is that my accent makes me count syllables wrong. girl = grr-ull, whirlwind = whirr-ull-wind

For me, it's definitely crack-ul-ling. Thus, the answer is probably two.

I'm a bad poet because I can't tell meter. Fortunately, haiku have different rules. Not that this means my haiku are good but meter isn't the issue.
