Wouldn't it be terrible if my computer was stuck on shuffle.
This is embarrassing, but the only songs I have right now are 22 from The Best of Warren Zevon. Media files are freaking out both of my OS's so they're all on my external drive which I can't boot so, sigh.
Your shuffle sounds interesting. I love The Battle of Bull Run.
I've got quite a bit of Johnny Horton. EMusic has some mono tracks from Louisiana Hayride (a radio show) and I also have some of the more famous stuff.
On perusing Wikipedia and interrogating my husband, I'm pretty sure I've never knowingly heard any Zevon though P does say that "My Shit's Fucked Up" is a great song and it just gets better as you get older. I may have to look into this.
You have to have heard Lawyers, Guns, and Money. It's like an anthem.
You have probably heard Werewolves of London and possibly heard Excitable Boy.
I was surprised at how pretty a couple of his more obscure songs are. I got the cd at Wal-mart for something like $5.00 even though I was only familiar with those 3 songs because, you know...it was only $5 and I got 22 songs. I sometimes shop stupidly like that.
I have Lawyers, Guns, and Money, and Werewolves on my external drive but it's reached the point where it's just easier to buy the song than fix my MBR.
I probably have heard the songs in the since they were playing in a room I was in but not in the sense that I paid attention to them.
The other day, MD and P were swearing up and down that I had heard X while I said no. They played it and I recognized it as something MD plays often by the tune but as for the words or title, no.
