It seems that there's a chance I could get a job in Montreal after all, which would be great, since all my friends and relations appear to be moving there. There's one company that will hire "promising candidates" who are not (yet) fluent in French. Montreal would be fabulous, if you must move. Do you have any French friends? Semi French? Because I think speaking it is the best way to keep it fresh.

Montreal would be great (though Halifax would be better, but you know my opinion on that).

As for the French speaking, just make that French face and gesture vaguely. It'll work.

I have a friend who's fairly fluent, and my mother is trying to improve her French, so I should have some opportunities to practise. I wish I could stay here, and I'm going to give a damn good try at it, but my timing is colossally bad. Wow, I have no idea if I spelled that right. Yay for dictionaries!
