I enjoy your reviews as much as I do the stories, in some cases. Sometimes, even more.

And yes, wasn't "Black Story" unique? It's one of the stories I'm very proud of having beta'ed.

Haha thanks ;)

I really loved Black Story - it was twisty painful in all the right ways, and yet aarg. I will definitely rereading that one soon.

Oh, you've been a busy bee today! Wow. :)

That vomit-play fic squicked me with the warning, and even if I'm curious, I believe I'll abstain. Why, I wonder. Watersports don't squick me, but then again, anything graphic with H/Ginny squicks me awfully. Mind is a weird thing.

It's the smell I cannot take, and even thinking about it makes me remember the smell and just EWWW.

I have been a busy bee. Just as well - work just got really busy again.

"Black Story" was wonderful, I thought. Sexually dysfunctional Snape just seems so... right.

God yes, wasn't it? It really hit true for the Snape I doubt JK would dare portray.

You crack me up. I always read these and laugh. And then tremble because you're coming up on things I posted in January, and they're both things that I don't feel are my best writing precisely because they're Snarry. In the sense that something's lacking, but then, something always is from my Snarry. I'm coming to the conclusion that it's something in the pairing I have a problem writing - a certain quality of rage, perhaps - even though it's one of my favorites to read. There's potential for real beauty in it, but I can't seem to lay my finger on it. Very frustrating.

I haven't read Black Story yet - I went to read it and got sidetracked by another fic she'd written in another fandom. It was so good I was practically doubled over with the thrill of her words. So I needed a break before heading to the next one. Maybe this weekend.

Oh silly. I do try and be constructive - unless I think the author really isn't trying or I'm irritated with their 25th variation of "Snape is my one twu luv, oh noes!". But even then I try not to be mean...

Black Story is really excellent, but you have me curious - what fic sidetracked you? Sounds like I should read it.

No, you're not mean. You just say the things that I wouldn't be able to. I get in moods where I like to read those "twu luv" fics - this usually consists of me seeing how many lines it takes before I crack up and run away. The shame about it is that many people have good ideas and a good command of basic writing skills - it's just refinement that's lacking. I'm not sure how much I've improved, but I certainly know that my early attempts at fic were painful. So I want people to keep writing, to learn how to keep characters in character, to learn which verb to use when, to know when to show and not tell, yada yada yada. To supply me with Snarry, dammit ( ... )

Oh I know that mood! It's when all you want is to curl up with a glass of red wine and have Snape and Harry LOVE EACH OTHER DAMNIT! I usually go for rereads then, just because it's safer.

Oh EXACTLY! I used to have this idea that authors might find these recs useful, and I have offered to beta for people I thought really needed it. But lately I rather hope they *don't* find these recs because I dread the hissyfit of some writer who thought I was terribly terribly unfair and mean and [insert insult here]. But worse I've been toying with writing some Snarry - and I stop because, well I can't review my own stuff. Maybe I'll set up a trade with someone ;)

*your kink is OK (deepbreath) your kink is OK (deepbreath) your kink is OK...*

Why read the stories? Your commentary is infinitely more rewarding.

I'll tell you what my squick is (even though you didn't ask): reading stories that recycle trite sexual phrases and action, like "throbbing Manhood" (or WORSE, "elfhood") and perfectly synchronized orgasms. My computer screen is tired of me having to mop off the coffee from involuntary explosions.

Haha I love snarry fic - I think poking a little fun keeps the whole thing enjoyable for me. And dernit! I just realized I had forgotten to insert my pic of The Rock.

I have a soft spot for bad fic, I mean "turgid flesh", what's not to love?! But unfortunately a lot of sporking I see is mean spirited which kinda kills the fun for me.

Oooh. Forgot about "turgid". Just cleaned my monitor again. lol

I came across what, to me, was the funniest line in fanfic a few weeks ago and that's the best part - bad makes me giggle, and not want to hurt anyone's feelings.
