Two requests: I'm looking for recs where Dumbledore is evil. Or where the concept of "evil" is questioned. Gen, het slash - any pairing really BUT Dumbledore's wickedness needs to be explored in depth. Alternatively I'll take essays on the subject. Preferably not written in teenyese or fanacademia

I agree about The Marked Man. It's not bad but it would be so much better if to cut all those unnecessary things. I've been thinking it as I've been reading it.

Question for you: I checked your lists (and your list of other people's lists) but didn't see a catagory for evil Dumbledore fic. I know that it must exist. Any ideas?

For a Dumbledore=evil fic, I could not suggest anything more than lightningwave's Sacrifice Arc. The title tells a lot about Dumbledore's principles. The arc is in its 6th book (the series is an AU that mirrors HPverse), and though it's a WIP, it's updated everyday (Everyday! Really!). The author has even plotted out a prequel arc to explore....okay, I'm getting carried away :P ( ... )

Sacrifices, Dumbledore was thinking as he gazed at the closed door of his office. We all make sacrifices, for the sake of lifting the burden from those who cannot bear it.
He was thinking of a young Gryffindor marked with a heart-shaped scar, and a young Slytherin with the Dark Mark branded on his arm swearing that he would turn against Voldemort and be loyal to the Light, and a young Slytherin with the heart of a Gryffindor.
And another Gryffindor, whom Dumbledore had watched, and pondered upon, and finally, against his will, chosen and explained a problem to. And that Gryffindor had made a sacrifice that still echoed down the years and troubled his mind to think of.
