I’m blaming megselv for getting me addicted to this nifty toy. So far I look like a bunch of Celebs I’ve never heard of.

Dogs in Elk - it’s an oldie I’ve linked before, but apparently a fair few of my online pals hadn’t seen it before, so enjoy! Laugh until you cry!

The subservient chicken. Yes, it’s a BK viral ad campaign. I don’t care. I love this ( Read more... )

So funny, I'd never thought of each author as having her own Snape. But they really do, don't they? Really helpful to see Snape's characterization as an individual work in progress, till an author finds the one that works.

That chicken is hilarious! And scary, try telling him to "make dinner." Eeeek. :)

We really do, don't we? I have several favorites, none I think are very canon - but they work as the writers present them. Gauriel's Snape reads as conflicted to me - like she's caught between recognizing he's a bastard and wanting him to be sweet underneath. But that self deception trick only works so far, particularly if you ALSO believe he's an intelligent creature.

Sadly my canon Snape is basically an ascetic (I think he uses self denial in all things to increase his occulemency. Support for this is thin, but I would say his attire and appearance support the ascetic theory. Of course if he *is* in self denial to increase his mental clarity, DD continuously offering him sweets is a bit sadistic ;)) HOWEVER I can so picture him going wild one day after Voldemort's fall. THAT would be a fun fic to write: Snape working his way through Honeydukes, through the menu at every restaraunt in Diagon Alley, and through any warm flesh that would have him.

Dumbledore would *love* to torture an ascetic--really neat idea about Snape, would explain so much. Oh my gosh--hope you write that fic!! Sounds hilarious! :)

Its only half mine. I overheard/overread some conversation about Snape being the character in most dire need of a blow job, and then one of the speakers at Lumos made the point about his many buttoned robes symbolizing denial ...and well, I ran with it.
