For the people who are nay-sayers, I've also noticed a trend. The people who have most often acted like I'm an irritional moron for following my heart all the way to the East Coast --no offense-- are either guys who I used to date but never felt serious about/guys who want to date me, or people who have never had real luck in their romantic lives (like either been dumped and arent over it, or have never had a serious long term relationship).

so do i fall in that category.

i think that you should go for it... i mean, it IS your life and ultimately you are only trying to make yourself happy. i know that you value your friends' opinions, and you should, but it's you that is moving. you're the one in love -- so you should be the one to decide. it's really that simple. and it definitely is better to try things than never know what could've been. like you said -- you're done with california and there's nothing really holding you back here. go start over and be with the person that you love. if it makes you happy, then that's all that matters!
